Although we had a small tent when we were first married and used it on a couple of occasions for holidays in the Lake District, I don't have any photo's of it so can't include it here.

However, this page shows our move towards, and into caravanning.

Conway Cruiser
Jun 2005 to Jan 2007

Half way between a trailer tent and a caravan the Conway Cruiser was a Folding Camper.

We bought this from Sutterton Caravans near Boston (Lincs) and picked it up on the way home from visiting relatives in Norwich.

We had some memorable holidays in this, including in Anglesey at Easter 2006, where this photo was taken. That week started wet, followed by snow and then a force 8 gale which David & Laura slept through but we didn't!!! The last few days were glorious sunshine though, so rememebreed as a good week?

The process of putting curtains up resulted in bad necks and backs so it was time to find that first caravan.

Jan 2007 to Oct 2014

Bought from Robinson's' Caravans in Worksop.

This was a great layout for a family van with two bench seats at the front which David & Laura could sleep on, and a dinette at the back which converted into a double bed for us at the back. A decent sized kitchen in the middle and separate full sized shower toilet as well.

We kept this for nearly 8 years and took it all over the country for family holidays. It's last trip being to Keswick for the convention week in 2014.

Bought from Marquis Caravans in Dinnington.

Once David & Laura had left home and started to go on thier own holidays, we decided the time was right to get a van with a fixed bed, and this was it.

It took us to some great places, but in 2018 I started to get a bit tired of towing, so we placed it on a seasonal pitch in Caernarfon where we had some great weekends and weeks during the summer. It increased our useage of the van as it was easy just to pack up on a Friday after work and set off.

In 2019 we moved it to a seasonal pitch in Whitby where we met some great people and enjoyed five fantastic seasons until September 2023.

Tigger Day 1.jpg

Bought from Brownhills Motorhomes in Newark..

After we both retired in April 2023 we had one more season in Whitby with the caravan, and then decided that we wanted to tour around again.

Apparently there is a law that requires such things to be named and so we are pleased to be able to
introduce ‘Tigger’ to the family. We felt we wanted to travel around the country again but without
having to tow, so a new chapter has arrived for us and there is a long list of places to visit, including Ireland, Scotland, North, South, East, and West – you get the picture! so beware... we could be coming to a town near you 😲 .
