Men in Boots

An informal walking group for men of Fulwood Church and Friends

Who
Men in Boots is an informal walking group for the men of Fulwood Church and their friends. Walks are over easy ground and taken at a steady pace to suit everyone. They provide an ideal opportunity to get to know each other in an informal and non threatening environment.

Evenings
We organise evening walks roughly once a month throughout the year. These tend to be approximately 4 miles in length and take about 2hrs with an optional drink at the end at a local pub. From September to April these are referred to as the Moon Walks as they tend to be close to that month's full moon.

Days
We also organise longer (approx 8 miles) walks during the day, again roughly once a month but sometimes a bit further apart. These allow us to venture slightly further away than the evening walks, and are generally two 4m walks split by a lunch break at a pub. These start at 10am and finish around 3-4pm.

What you need
The standard walking kit really, decent shoes or walking boots, waterproofs if the forecast suggests rain as the evening walks are not weather dependent, warm clothing during the winter, and for the day walks bring lunch and a drink although we do tend to stop at a pub as well.

Where?
Evening walks are usually on a Friday starting at 7:30pm, and Day walks are on Thursdays starting at 10am. Dates are in the calendar below, and if you use Google Calendar you can add this to your device by clicking on the + icon

We have a WhatsApp Group where we provide the latest details of each walk, and post pictures of our last walk. We can also advice people of any last minute changes so we would encourage you to join us there via this WhatsApp Group link.

Also, if there is a date you would like to go for a walk feel free to let me know and I shall add it to the calendar here.
